Personalize your Flip-flops

Flip-flops were seen first in their most basic appearance. They were all plain and boring. However, creative minds thought of something better to do with this cool footwear. They add more colours, more prints and fun accessories to jazz them up a little bit. What is fun about this is that you can do this all by yourself while you play your creativity. All the materials used in decorating are all in the corner and so easy to use.

Painting:
Flip-flops can be so simple that they get to be boring. You can add a little spice in it and exert a little effort in making it cool and hip. Painting is a fun way to jazz your plain slippers a little bit. By using flip-flop paints, you can paint colourful designs such as big bright flowers, waters, landforms, smiley’s, or anything you could think of.

Project #1 (THEME: Beach)
Materials needed:

• flip-flops (not necessarily new)
• pencils
• coloured pencils
• flip-flop paint/ house hold painting (blue, yellow, orange, green, red)
• varnish

Instructions:
1.    Try sketching sea creatures on your flip-flops. Sketch different sea creatures on it as well like sea shells, sea crabs, and sea weed.
2.    Paint your flip-flop with colour blue to have the sea background.  Paint your sketches using your colour pencils and flip-flop paints until you reached the desired design.
3.    Let the paint dry for 30 minutes to an hour.
4.    Re-apply colours if needed and let it dray for another 30 minutes.
5.    Apply varnish for long last of paint colour.
6.    Let the varnish dry for an hour or two.
